BH Community Based Therapist I - FBIT

Overview: The Family Based Intensive Treatment (FBIT) Program is an intensive home- and community-based treatment service working with youth and family to address behavioral health difficulties in the home, school and community. Typically, the youth displays impairment in at least two of these arenas. FBIT targets a population of youth with significant psychiatric needs in order to increase functioning and sustainability within the family system. The FBIT Therapist will utilize the Intensive Home Based Treatment model. The goal of the program is to stabilize mental health concerns, and safely maintain the youth in the least restrictive, most normative environment. The Behavioral Health Therapist will provide both therapy and case management services in the community, while working closely with community stakeholders. Treatment is intensive (3-5 sessions/week) and time limited (average of 4 to 6 months). The program provides services to clients between the ages of 4-18 exhibiting a wide range of psychopathology. 24/7 crisis support is provided. This position offers weekly individual supervision, as well as weekly consultation provided by Center for Innovative Practices.
