Overview
The Project Manager will oversee the implementation of a newly funded initiative aimed at integrating and advancing sarcoma-related clinical care and research across multiple Departments and Centers within the Abigail Wexner Research Institute and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. This individual will become familiar with programs and personnel in the Division of Hematology, Oncology, and BMT, the Center for Childhood Cancer, the Department of Orthopedics, and others and will become the primary face of both new and established programs aimed at advancing the care of patients with sarcomas. This person will need to lean on strong interpersonal and organizational skills as they oversee projects that span grants, projects, clinical trials, Divisions/Centers, and offices. The role of the Project Manager is to assist in the implementation, monitoring, and communication of complex projects. In addition, the position assists with strategic planning activities, budget forecasting, group facilitation and other staff functions.

Overview
Not open to new grads, ADN nurses with clinical experience will be considered. |   | Full time, Non-traditional D/N hours. (Approx. 6 weeks of nights / 18 weeks of days) | 10-hour shifts | On call required in addition to full time hours for some weekends and typically only one holiday 30-minute response time required while on call. | Minimum hourly rate:$34.00 | Please read below for additional details: |   | Our standard orientation for new graduates is usually 16 -20 weeks and includes simulation, self-study time, observational experiences, skills labs, and most importantly 1 on 1 time with a preceptor. Experienced nurses will have orientation tailored to their needs. Our unit has an Educational Nurse Specialist and Nurse Educator that will work with you and your preceptor throughout orientation. New RN Graduates are also offered a Nurse Residency program, for support through the transition from school to bedside nursing. |   | • The POST-ANESTHESIA CARE UNIT is a highly specialized critical care area of the hospital that cares for all age groups, including select adults, during their recovery from general anesthesia. | • Our patient population is expanse and includes both inpatient and ambulatory patients from the operating rooms, heart catheterization labs, several radiology modalities, and procedures rooms. | • Common services include Otolaryngology, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, Ophthalmology, Urology and Cardiology. | • The average daily census for the several PACU locations we serve is typically around 100. | • The average length of stay is 1 hour; however, it could vary from 15 minutes to several hours depending on the patient acuity. | • Our staff to patient ratio is typically 1:1 but may be 1:2 based on age and stage of recovery. |   | Assists patients to move rapidly, uneventfully, and as effectively as possible through their episode of care while maintaining quality and safety as a priority. Delegates, directs, oversees and provides developmentally appropriate patient care. Practices professional nursing and promotes patient advocacy in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and maintains a current Ohio Nursing License.

Overview
The Clinical Athletic Trainer in Orthopedics is responsible for assisting in all clinical aspects of the Orthopedics Program through daily clinical operations, and patient care including, but not limited to patient rooming and triage, communication between both patient family and physician, and coordination of care both within the NCH system and externally.  They will develop professional relationships with their patients and families to become a valued member of their health care team, deliver a high level of customer service, and continually look for ways to improve the quality of their clinical and rehabilitative services.  This position will report to Sports Medicine but will work in Orthopedic clinics daily. This position will report to Sports Medicine, but will work in Orthopedic clinics daily.  Areas of priority will include – but not limited to – daily clinical coverage, patient education, department operations, Sports Medicine community partner engagement, and occasional community event Sports Medicine coverage.  Knowledge of age appropriate care, scientifically based and medically established best practices for pediatric and adolescent sports medicine and active populations is the standard required for quality service delivery.
