This position may include, but is not limited to, the following behavioral health service areas: | 1)            Youth Crisis Stabilization Unit (YCSU) - a 16-bed unit designed to provide mental health treatment and crisis stabilization services to youth and adolescents with a 3-4 day average length of stay | 2)            Inpatient Psychiatric Units (Child, Adolescent, and Neurobehavioral) - 12-18-bed units with  group style environments designed to provide mental health treatment, crisis stabilization, and linkage with intensive follow-up services with a 7-10 day average length of stay | 3)            Psychiatric Crisis Department and Extended Observation Services – 10+ bed units that offer real-time crisis intervention for patients and families currently experiencing a behavioral health emergency. | This position is contingent upon the ability of the individual to pass and maintain competency in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training. Overview
The Family Based Intensive Treatment (FBIT) Program is an intensive home- and community-based treatment service working with youth and family to address behavioral health difficulties in the home, school and community. Typically, the youth displays impairment in at least two of these arenas. FBIT targets a population of youth with significant psychiatric needs in order to increase functioning and sustainability within the family system. The FBIT Therapist will utilize the Intensive Home Based Treatment model. The goal of the program is to stabilize mental health concerns, and safely maintain the youth in the least restrictive, most normative environment. The Behavioral Health Therapist will provide both therapy and case management services in the community, while working closely with community stakeholders. Treatment is intensive (3-5 sessions/week) and time limited (average of 4 to 6 months). The program provides services to clients between the ages of 4-18 exhibiting a wide range of psychopathology. 24/7 crisis support is provided. This position offers weekly individual supervision, as well as weekly consultation provided by Center for Innovative Practices.

Behavioral Health Community Based Therapist I - Treatment for Healthy Alternatives |   | Nationwide Children’s Hospital Behavioral Health has positions open for highly motivated clinicians to provide intensive home and community-based clinical services to adolescents with co-occurring substance use and emotional disorders using the Integrated Co-Occurring Treatment (ICT) model. ICT expands upon the Intensive Home Based Treatment model to provide treatment to families and youth whose combined mental health and substance abuse issues have caused impairment at home, school, and/or in the community. The goal is to stabilize mental health, behavioral, and substance abuse concerns and safely maintain the youth in the least restrictive environment.  | The ICT Therapist will typically have two to five contacts with clients and families during the week and a family’s length of stay in the program is four to six months. Clinician duties include assessment, individual and family therapy, advocacy, and collaboration with community partners. Experience working with adolescents with alcohol and drug problems is not required, but clinicians must be open to learning about and working with a dual diagnosis population.
