Post Doctoral Scientist – RI Childhood Cancer | Full time; Main Campus |   | We are seeking a Post Doctoral Scientist -  Works under the mentorship of an established CRI principal investigator to design experiments and develop protocols to conduct research in a specific scientific area. Publishes scientific articles in appropriate refereed journals. Works toward a goal of becoming independent in his/her research effort, and eventually obtaining external research funding. The candidates will be focusing on projects studying chromatin regulation in childhood cancers. Takes a lead role in researching, developing, and implementing the optimal analysis approach for a given genomic data set. Supports the needs of all aspects of NGS analysis including data generation, analysis, and interpretation, preparing novel methods and technologies for research and clinical production. The candidate should possess diverse computational and biological expertise, working closely with investigators within IGM, transcribing biological questions to code, and with the Clinical Informatics team, translating research pipelines to clinical applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills will be essential as the individual will work collaboratively with developers, scientists, and clinicians on projects that lead to publications and presentations at professional meetings. The candidate will also be encouraged to participate in bioinformatics related discussions, group meetings and presentations for the IGM.
