A radiologist is a physician who practices his/her medical specialty using a variety of medical imaging technologies to diagnose and treat disease. Depending on the subspecialty (as directed by the Chief, Department of Radiology) daily work may consist of a variety of tasks that include the use of imaging technologies such as radiography, fluoroscopy, Computed Tomography, MRI, ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine (with injection of radioactive materials), and Interventional Radiology to provide information to radiologists and referring physicians that aid in the diagnosis and course of treatment of disease.
