Overview

Healthy Families America Supervisor at The Center for Family Safety and Healing oversees the implementation of Healthy Families America, an evidenced based maternal infant home visiting model. The HFA supervisor, train new staff, adheres to the HFA model, and to policies, procedures, guidelines and standards of HFA, The Center for Family Safety and Healing, and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The supervisor maintains professional boundaries and provides support, guidance and coaching to HFA home visitors.

Responsibilities

·        Monitor the implementation of Healthy Families America

·        Adhere to the HFA standards and policies that govern the HFA supervisor role.

·        Provide supervision to direct reports and facilitate professional development through one-to-one supervision, team meetings and field supervision.

·         Maintains sound working knowledge of community resources.

·        Completes all required documentation and paperwork requirements in a competent, legible, and timely manner consistent with legal and agency policy and program mandates.

·        Responds to individualized family needs and situations as required and consistent with departmental expectations.

·        Maintain safety and quality as priorities providing consultative support, evaluation, education, and direction home visitors.

 

·        Contributes to the efficient operation and sustainability of the HFA Program at The Center for Family Safety and Healing 

·        Collaborates with administrative support staff to manage HFA referrals, assigning referrals to staff following department policy and procedure.

·        Stay aware of changes that impact the implementation of HFA, participate in data collection or audits as it pertains to quality improvement. 

·        Communicate to staff changes and updates within the Maternal Infant Home Visiting system.

Qualifications

Education: BSW required , MSW preferred 

Licensure: LSW required, LISW preferred

 

Skills:

  • General knowledge of child and family development and related concepts
  • General knowledge of community resources and social supports in the Franklin and surrounding counties.

Computer system proficiency such as Outlook, Word, etc.
