Overview

The Compensation Consultant performs a variety of tasks in the administration of Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH) compensation programs. The Compensation Consultant interacts with management and non-management hospital staff to resolve issues, gather information and provide assistance in compensation related matters.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for NCH Leaders and Talent Acquisition Partner’s concerning matters related to compensation reviews and equity analysis.
• Conducts job evaluations utilizing internal and external salary statistics and proposes recommendations on appropriate classifications and pay bands while handling highly confidential employee data.
• Performs compensation related duties such as salary survey completion, annual wage & salary budget survey, and competing vendor information requests.
• Interacts with all levels of hospital staff to resolve problems, gather information and provide assistance in compensation & benefit related matters.
• Develops reports and queries on an as needed basis to provide compensation data for HR customers and other NCH leaders.
• Ensures Compliance with federal and state regulations and laws.

Qualifications

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills:
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail, required.
• High level of professionalism with the ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and strong analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiarity with a HRIS system, such as WorkDay, recommended.

Experience: One to three years of experience in compensation administration in a healthcare environment preferred.
