Responsibilities

  • Operates varied imaging equipment within general radiology and fluoroscopy where applicable, programing and adjusting equipment for accurate imaging.
  • Reviews, sends, and verifies images sent to PACS for Radiologist interpretation. Consults with Radiologist for additional and/or special imaging protocol.
  • Identifies, prepares, and administers contrast under the direct supervision of a licensed practitioner and documents information on the MAR where applicable.
  • Accurately modifies orders to reflect appropriate procedure based on clinical questions, symptoms, and patient history per protocols.
  • Assists in the orientation and training of new employees and students. Provides guidance and support in student education.
  • Maintains knowledge of current applications in Radiology and complies with regulatory guidelines and policies.
  • Carries out a variety of section and department functions.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

 

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited educational program for Radiologic Technology, required

Licensure:

  • ARRT License, required
  • Current ODH License required

Certifications:

  • Current CPR Certification, required

Experience:

  • 1-year clinical experience, preferred.

Skills:

  • High level of communication and organizational skills
