Overview

Provides assistance to Process Improvement Specialist and Senior Specialist assigned to perform process improvement studies to find ways to improve efficiency, reduce cost, improve job satisfaction and/or customer service.

 

Schedule: 10 hours per week for summer 2025

 

Location: Central Campus (on-site)

Responsibilities

1. Gathers data through time/motion studies, check sheets, electronic data pulls or online surveys
2. Enters and analyzes data using Excel and Minitab
3. Maps processes from start to finish
4. Applies system level thinking and operational excellence techniques for problem solving and a clear, open, one-team approach for communicating with hospital customers
5. Performs some clerical office coordination, administration and/or tasks as needed

Qualifications

1. High school diploma, required. Must be actively enrolled and pursuing an undergraduate degree in science, engineering, business, or healthcare.
2. Proficient with MSOffice: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.
3. Experience in data and statistical analysis preferred.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of staff, outside vendors, consultants, and physicians
