The Pediatric Hematology/Oncologist examines, diagnoses, treats, and manages blood disorders and cancers in children, adolescent, and teen patients.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients, orders and analyzes tests, and administers and manages prescribed treatments .
• Participates in existing clinical research in oncology, hemoglobinopathies, and bleeding disorders.
• Provides lectures, clinical teaching, and curricula for the pediatric house staff and medical students, as well as other allied health care professionals. Educates and trains health care professionals at other institutions.

Qualifications

Education Requirement:
Medical Degree, required.

Licensure Requirement:
State of Ohio medical license, required.

Certifications:
Board certification in Pediatrics and Hematology/Oncology, required.

Experience:
3 year U.S. accredited fellowship training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, required.
