The Team Assistant: Home Visitation Programs (Administrative Support II) is responsible for performing moderately complex administrative secretarial duties for the Maternal/ Infant Home Visiting department at The Center for Family Safety and Healing including but not limited to: taking minutes, drafting correspondence, using PC or mainframe software to enter data, skilled interaction with parents, patients and/or employees.  Works under general supervision of departmental supervisors.

  • Prepares correspondence, documents, reports, and other materials which may be moderately complex or confidential, sometimes requiring independent judgement.
  • Enters programmatic data accurately and efficiently into relevant departmental data systems (Epic, ODH, and for the evidence-based model(s).
  • Responds to inquiries;  screens calls, occasional visitors and letters, etc.  Provides information as appropriate, routing complex inquiries for appropriate action.
  • Provides additional secretarial support to others, as requested/assigned; directs volunteers who assist with departmental needs.
  • Establishes, maintains appropriate departmental records, procedures, and documentation.  Sorts, files and distributes documents and supplies as necessary.
  • Researches and compiles data for reports and tables; reconciles departmental billing in preparation for final approval.
  • Provides assistance in training of less experienced departmental personnel, directs the work of others; occasionally schedules appointments for departmental staff.
  • Performs other related duties and manages projects as assigned. 



  • High school graduate; business college coursework preferred.
  • A minimum of two years secretarial experience.
  • Word Processing, database management, spreadsheet, and other related computer skills necessary.  Ability to learn and utilize computer software to perform requested work assignments and projects.
  •  Experience in a health care setting desirable.
  • Must possess good skills in organization, planning, documentation, and time management.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
