Home Visiting Supervisor, Healthy Families America


The Center for Family Safety and Healing Home Visitation  Supervisor, Healthy Families America is responsible for supervising and managing the day-to-day functions of a Healthy Families America team of home visitors.  This includes weekly  1:1 supervision with each home visitors, leading team meetings, onboarding and training new staff reviewing home visitor documentation for billing accuracy as well as ongoing performance management. Healthy Families America evidenced based home visitation program when implemented to fidelity is intended to reduce child maltreatment; increase utilization of prenatal care, decrease pre-term, low weight babies; improve parent-child interaction and school readiness

  • Train and supervise home visiting staff including regular team meetings, home visitor performance management, and providing reflective, clinical, and administrative 1:1 supervision to home visitors
  • Develop Family Goal Plans in collaboration with families that incorporate the families’ strengths, visions and priorities.
  • Utilize developmental screening instruments for children birth to age three (ASQ, ASQ:SE, etc.)
  • Involve families as active team members in the screening, developmental evaluation, ongoing assessments and intervention processes.
  • Coordinate scheduling of appointments with parents and other services providers for routine team meetings and case management functions.
  • Coordinate and monitor delivery of services with families and providers, including medical and health professionals.
  • Demonstrate understanding of basic knowledge of relevant federal and state legislation and regulations, Ohio Administrative Code, policies, procedures.
  • Support home visitor with linking parents and children to appropriate resources in Franklin County.
  • Communicate to staff changes/updates within the Home Visiting system.



  • Master’s degree in Social Work or related field (preferred), or at least three years of related experience.
  • LISW in the State of Ohio, preferred.
  • Ability to work with confidential information.
  • Eligible for Help Me Grow Clinical Supervisor credential to be issued by the Ohio Department of Health.
  • Prior experience working within the Help Me Grow system preferred.

Talking on phone / in person - Frequently (34 – 66%)

Traveling in car - Frequently (66-85%)
