Full Time; Benefits Eligible

Hours: 3:00pm - 11:30pm  every other weekend and rotating holidays

 

We are seeking a Housekeeper I - The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and servicing patient care areas, offices, lobbies and bathrooms.

Responsibilities

1. Performs routine cleaning and building service work. 2. Demonstrates knowledge of Seven Basic Cleaning Steps. 3. Demonstrates knowledge of appropriate chemical use to meet department standards (know chemical, it?s proper use, has appropriately labeled and stored, etc.) 4. Practices proper methods of Infection Control in conjunction with cleaning procedures (changing of mop water, proper use of cleaning cloth and other equipment, etc.) 5. Has knowledge of applicable departmental policies and procedures and uses when appropriate. 6. Demonstrates proficiency in job related skills. 7. Maintains closet, housekeeping cart and cleaning equipment in clean, orderly and good working condition. 8. Adheres to departmental dress code and practices personal hygiene. 9. Meets or exceeds department?s standards of quality as evidenced by quality control inspections, and customer feedback. 10. Participates in staff meetings. 11. Attends all required mandatory inservices. 12. Works effectively as a member of a team. 13. Shows initiative in expanding job related skills.14. Demonstrates commitment to providing a quality environment for patient care. 15. Demonstrates positive customer service skills. 16. Communicates issues/concerns to Supervisor/Assistant Director as needed. 17. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE , SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED1. Experience preferred but not necessary. 2. Strong interpersonal communication skills.3. Ability to read and write. MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWeight requirement - Must be able to lift 40 lbs. independently. Must be able to see, stand on feet for 8 hours, hear, walk, talk, and care of oneself with little or no difficulty.
