The Institute for Genomic Medicine at Nationwide Children’s Hospital is paving the way for a future that integrates genomics into the everyday practice of pediatrics. Genetic sequencing is a standard of care. The IGM is housed in the campus’ newest research building, spanning ~25,000 square feet of laboratory and office/desk space in a highly interactive setting. The Technology Development Group supports the Institute’s research and translational needs by designing cutting edge genomic applications in human health.
The team is looking for a full-time technology development specialist with automation expertise in assay design, instrument scripting, production processes, and validation controls. The preferred candidate will be able to adjust assay parameters improving instrument precision and accuracy. Automation processes will include various next-generation preparatory methods as part of the IGM commitment to excellence in pediatric care. Therefore, the candidate must possess strong aptitudes in molecular biology and next-generation sequencing approaches.
