JOB POSTING – Post Doctoral Scientist – RI Childhood Cancer
Full time; Exempt; Mon-Fri 8 AM – 5 PM
Main Campus; Columbus, OH
We are seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Scientist to join our laboratory at The Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The Cassady lab designs investigates how oncolytic viruses mediate their anti-tumor activity in nervous system tumors. Our studies focus on host-virus interactions in malignant and non-malignant cells and the host immune responses role in both antitumor and antiviral responses. We utilize in-vitro cell culture-based evaluation, pre-clinical animal studies, and have viruses in clinical trial. Creative, highly motivated individuals with a PhD in a relevant area (immunology, cell biology, virology or tumor biology) are encouraged to apply. An interest in tumor immunology and experience with immunology assays (flow cytometry, functional assessments, depletion and adoptive transfer) and murine studies is a plus.
