We are seeking a Data Analyst - CFSH

The Data Analyst, reporting to the Director of Research and Evaluation, is responsible for reviewing and analyzing data that supports assigned projects related to sensitive family violence/child maltreatment case information for The Center for Family Safety and Healing (TCFSH). This will include maintaining databases and sources of information for program evaluation, quality initiatives, accreditation efforts, regulatory mandates, contractual requirements and ad hoc requests. The position will coordinate data from various sources, maintains assigned databases and generates reports for the department.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Enters, collects, and extracts data to and from internal and external sources to incorporate into internal databases.
  • Transforms and prepares data for report creation for internal and external constituents.
  • Prepares recurring reports, scorecard reporting, and ad hoc needs across the department
  • Analyze data, including the use of appropriate control and run charts
  • Develops dashboards and other data visualizations to facilitate data informed decision making.
  • Establishes and maintains timelines for projects and coordinates activities with other requesters to obtain specific information to meet project expectations.
  • Collaborates and assists in the day-to-day management of survey activity and communication.  
  • Attends educational programs as schedule and budget permits to maintain knowledge level and ability related to continuous quality improvement, evaluation, and data visualization technology.
  • Maintains an environment of safety for clients, self, and others and supports patient safety initiatives.
  • Maintains an awareness of compassion fatigue due to the exposure to family violence and child maltreatment case information; stays informed of resources available to minimize job-related stress even though direct, patient care is not being performed.
  • Supports the development of the TCFSH by performing other duties as assigned.


What Are We Looking For?        

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess these minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, health informatics, or related field; Masters preferred, MBA, MHA or similar
  • 2-4 years of experience in an evaluation or applied research setting, or in health care data analysis.
  • Ability to create and utilize relational data files; experience and proficiency with SQL and reporting.
  • High-level working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Access and Excel, including formulas and pivot tables
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills necessary to interact with individuals from a wide variety of diverse backgrounds and mindsets.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Detailed oriented with proven strong work ethic and initiative.
  • Prior experience with Crystal Reports, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and/or SharePoint is a plus.
