We are seeking an Psychologist in Family Support Program. This position is responsible for providing age-appropriate clinical services to patients; assisting in training of medical students and residents; providing supervision for psychology practicum students, interns and post-doctoral fellows; participating in departmental and other meetings; maintaining records; participating in the Department's rotating on-call coverage; and performing miscellaneous duties as assigned.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Provides age-appropriate clinical services to patients of Children's Hospital and others as appropriate; clinical services provided include, but are not limited to: psychological and behavioral assessments, consultation, therapeutic interventions, and participation on clinical service teams.
  • Assists in training medical students and residents through conferences, formal lectures, rounds and individual consultations and electives
  • Supervises clinical services provided by practicum students, psychology interns and post-doctoral fellows
  • Participates in the formal training of interns and post-doctoral fellows by presenting lectures as assigned
  • Maintains records on all patients served in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Participate in meetings and serves on committees with Children's Hospital and the community as appropriate
  • Participates in Departmental rotating on-call coverage after hours
  • Participates in research as appropriate

Qualifications

What Are We Looking For?

           

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess these minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Ph.D. degree in clinical or school psychology from an accredited university.
  • A pediatric psychology internship and post-doctoral training or experience in pediatric psychology is highly desirable.
  • Must obtain Ohio Psychology license when eligible and within 6 months from your date of hire.
